Ceramic techniques
The ceramics are fired and usually glazed in color.
The ceramic images are fired in artistic plan ceramics using the Raku technique.
A special glaze was used.
In addition to interesting colors, the special glazes provide a tangible structure in the surface.
Some pictures are framed
    - in solid oak frames or
    - in open frames in wood imitation on glass.

Rainer also uses other pottery techniques.

Style of ceramic images
The design style shows itself as modern, symbolic art
  - partly using means of organic representation,
  - reinforced by strong colors,
  - confusing formal language,
    but understandable composition
  - inspired by expressionist art
    with almost naive or surreal representation,
    expressionist art
    with elaborate and small-scale representation

  in an extraordinary ceramic version.
